Our Story

How Taurian Construction Began

Taurian Construction was founded by Mario Taurian, whose passion for construction began early. While still in high school, Mario gained hands-on experience in septic installations and repairs, building the foundation for the work he does today.

After graduating, he attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he earned a degree in Construction Management, strengthening his technical understanding of project planning and construction operations.

During college, Mario worked with Ghilotti Brothers, gaining experience on large-scale infrastructure and road-building projects. After completing his degree, he joined Rudolph & Sletten, a commercial general contractor as a project engineer, working on a major 175,000-square-foot, multi-level courthouse project.

These experiences shaped Mario into a versatile and highly skilled construction professional.
